Meet Judith

I'm a proud mom of six, a loving partner, and a devoted Bowen Island local. I created the Ocean Forest Retreat as a space where guests can slow down, breathe deeply, and rediscover what truly matters.

I believe that a healthy, connected life ripples outward — and I want every guest to leave feeling more alive than when they arrived. Nature and community are at the heart of everything I do here, and I hope you feel that from the very moment you arrive.

Getting to Bowen Island

Take a short ferry ride from Horseshoe Bay in West Vancouver. BC Ferries operates frequent service every 1–2 hours between Horseshoe Bay and Bowen Island's Snug Cove. The crossing takes approximately 20 minutes and offers scenic views of Howe Sound and the North Shore mountains.

For the schedule and live ferry tracking, visit bowenferry.ca
Getting back

If you brought a car, lining up for the ferry in Snug Cove can feel a little chaotic — especially in summer. Aim to be in line at least 30 minutes before your sailing. Never park on the yellow cross-hatches on the road. Boarding order goes foot passengers first, then motorcycles, then vehicles.

If you're in the zipper lane above Village Square near the school, the two lanes merge near the bottom of the hill — just be patient, it'll be clear when you get there. If you weren't parked past the school, chances are good you'll make the ferry.

And if you don't make it — you'll be close enough to Snug Cove to grab a coffee at Tell Your Friends Cafe or the Snug Cafe and enjoy the seagulls and sea lions while you wait.
